Job Role: Front-End and UI/UX Web Developer Intern

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer Intern with strong UI/UX skills to join our team. In this role, you will assist in ideation and conceptualising of new features, being involved in the entire process, from building mockups and prototypes to actual front-end development.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in front-end development while honing your UX skills within a collaborative team environment.

Ideal candidates should have a foundational understanding of front-end technologies and a passion for user-centered design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes and interactive mockups to visualise design concepts and gather feedback to improve user experience
• Translate mockups and wireframes into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure that web applications are optimised for various devices and screen sizes for maximum accessibility.
• Participate in user research and usability testing to gather feedback on designs and functionality.
• Engage in an iterative feedback process, incorporating insights from user testing and stakeholder reviews to refine designs and improve usability.

Qualifications

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js
• Familiar with version control systems like Git
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of database/backend is a plus, (Prisma, Supabase, PostgreSQL)
