Blackbird Baking Co. is opening a fourth location in the Annex early September. This new space will feature a specialty coffee program and seating in addition to our usual offerings.

We're looking for two Front of House Team Leads who know their way around an espresso machine and are ready to grow into a leadership role.

Who you are

You have real experience behind a coffee bar and are ready for more. You enjoy connecting with people over good food and coffee, you take ownership of your work, and you leave things better than you found them.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the floor day to day, training new team members, and stepping in as manager on duty when needed
• Running our full coffee program, from dialing in espresso to coaching the team on technique
• Keeping the shop running smoothly, from opening checklists to merchandising to cash handling
• Supporting inventory, ordering, and the behind the scenes details that keep a retail shop humming
• Being the go to person for our customers, sharing your knowledge of everything Blackbird bakes and brews

What you bring

• At least 2 years of customer service experience with specialty coffee
• Consistent weekend availability
• Ability to lift at least 20kg
• A genuine love of good food, good coffee, and good people

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
