About The Plaza Hotel

Recently refurbished and beautifully upgraded, The Plaza Hotel Tallaght has been completely transformed. The interior of this 4-star hotel now features exciting new eateries alongside 122 spacious and comfortable ensuite bedrooms, including a selection of large suites. Two bright and versatile event spaces, along with four meeting suites, provide the perfect setting for conferences and events of all sizes, from 5 to 200 guests.

About The Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and can handle a busy front desk environment with confidence and professionalism. As a first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive first impression of our hotel.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
  • Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls
  • Respond to guest enquiries and provide helpful information about the hotel and services
  • Support guests with requests and resolve basic issues or direct them to the right person
  • Keep the reception area clean, organised, and well-presented at all times
  • Manage visitor sign-in procedures and maintain basic security at the front desk
  • Handle mail, messages, and deliveries
  • Assist with bookings, appointments, and internal scheduling
  • Carry out general administrative tasks
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

  • A positive, friendly, and professional attitude
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Basic computer and administrative skills
  • The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year’s experience as a Receptionist in a hotel setting
