About the role

Sip & Dip is a new waterfront spot on the Halifax Boardwalk serving freshly cut seasonal fruit cups with chocolate fountain dipping and house-made mocktails. We're hiring enthusiastic Sip & Dip Associates for Summer 2026 to prep, serve, and delight guests.

What you'll do

• Wash, peel, and cut fresh fruit (strawberries, pineapple, banana, and seasonal picks) with precision and minimal waste
• Assemble and serve fruit cups with consistent portions and presentation
• Operate the chocolate fountain — set-up, temperature monitoring, and clean-down
• Prepare and serve house-made mocktails to recipe spec
• Handle customer orders and payments in a friendly, efficient manner
• Maintain a clean, food-safe prep station throughout the shift
• Assist with daily opening and closing duties

What we're looking for

• Experience handling and cutting fresh fruit in a food service setting
• Strong knife skills with a focus on minimizing produce waste
• Valid Nova Scotia Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain before start)
• Comfortable working outdoors in summer conditions
• Positive attitude and solid customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Bonus if you have

• Mocktail or beverage preparation experience
• Experience operating a chocolate fountain or similar equipment
• Background in outdoor markets, pop-up food service, or boardwalk retail

Pay: $17.00-$18.50 per hour

Experience:

• Food handling: 1 year (preferred)
