We are looking for a kind, patient, and dependable carer to provide one-to-one care for an elderly lady living in her own home in the Stillorgan area. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who values meaningful work and enjoys making a positive difference in another person’s daily life.
The ideal candidate will be warm, trustworthy, and experienced in providing both personal and emotional support, helping our client maintain comfort, independence, and dignity at home.
Work Schedule:
This is a rotational role, working 4 days on and 4 days off, offering a balanced schedule with regular time off.
Typical hours: 8:00am to 7:00pm (occasionally up to 8:00pm)
You will work closely with another carer to ensure consistent care and smooth handovers between shifts.

Ongoing support and open communication from the family team
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care: Assistance with washing, dressing, mobility, and general wellbeing
Medication Management: Ensure Medication is delivered to client correctly and on time.
Meal Preparation: Cooking and serving nutritious meals and light snacks
Incontinence Care: Providing gentle, respectful assistance as required
Housekeeping: Light cleaning, laundry, and ensuring a tidy, comfortable home environment
Companionship: Engaging in friendly conversation, providing emotional support, and accompanying on short walks or appointments
Monitoring & Reporting: Observing and noting any changes in health, behaviour, or mood, and communicating with the family coordinator
Requirements:
Prior experience caring for elderly individuals (home care or professional setting)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – compassion, patience, and reliability are essential
Full, clean driver’s licence and access to your own car (mileage expenses reimbursed)
Fluent English (spoken and written)
References required before starting
