Job Description:
- Schedule guest’s salon and spa services, while implementing proper procedures
- Greet every guest and escort to waiting area
- Educate guests on services to increase service sales
- Provide excellent customer care and exceed guest expectations
- To maximize books for each service technician
- Close sales and encourage guest to pre-book services
- Cross-service selling
- Implement Aveda experiences
- Execute standard telephone procedure using appropriate customer service etiquette
- Perform appointment confirmations, 48 hours prior to appointment schedule
- Inform service technicians of daily schedules and any adjustments
- Resolve guest challenges, utilizing support from Frontline Coordinator/Salon Manager when necessary
- Support retail and service staff with retail sales and productivity
- Create and maintain customer base
- Responsible for balancing and checking register drawer
- General salon, spa, and retail space cleaning and maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
- High school level required
- Post secondary education in a business-related field preferred
Work experience
- 1+ year(s) retail & customer service experience required
- 1+ year(s) in-salon reception experience strongly preferred
- Aveda background advantageous
Skills
- Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and converse with customers/clients
- Organizational skills to effectively maintain day to day requirements
- Self-confidence and initiative to approach potential customers/clients
Working Conditions:
- High traffic salon in a great location (Chinook Mall)!
- Black Dress Code
- Positive and professional working environment
Work Hours:
- Diva salon spa is open 7 days/week and is open on most holidays. The successful candidate is required to have a flexible availability, including availability during the day, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Candidates who do not have flexible availability will not be considered at this time.
