Gilson Inspection Services partners with Housing Authorities across the United States to ensure rental properties meet Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and local regulations.

We are currently seeking Full-Time Housing Inspectors to support a high-volume project in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a field-based role ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently while contributing to safe and compliant housing.

What You’ll Do

• Perform initial, annual, and re-inspections for Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) units
• Inspect residential properties, including apartments and housing units
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and Housing Quality Standards (HQS)
• Document inspection results using our digital inspection platform (training provided)
• Communicate professionally with residents, landlords, and internal teams

Compensation

• $12 per initial and annual inspection
• $7 per re-inspection

High inspection volume available, offering strong earning potential based on productivity.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in inspections, construction, property management, or a related field (preferred, not required)
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Comfortable using mobile apps and basic computer tools
• Good communication skills

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Personal vehicle and active car insurance
• Willingness to travel within Indianapolis and surrounding areas
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
