Location: Upper East Side

Children’s ages: Two children, ages 4 and 2 years old

Schedule: Full-time rotating schedule with guaranteed 180 hours per month

Rotating Schedule (2-Week Cycle):

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Fri, Sat, and Sunday (7:45am-6pm or 8:30am – 6:30pm)

Week 2: Wed, Thursday (7:45am-6pm or 8:30am – 6:30pm)

Ideal Start Date: Late Feb/March

About the Family and Schedule

A warm and loving father on the Upper East Side is seeking a kind, experienced, and engaging nanny to care for his two young children.

The parents are divorced and share custody, so the ideal caregiver is comfortable working within a co-parenting arrangement and can navigate transitions with professionalism, discretion, and strong communication.

The custody schedule is consistent and planned in advance. Occasional adjustments may occur due to holidays and calendar changes, which are typically confirmed months in advance. Flexibility is appreciated in these instances.

This position offers guaranteed hours, and there will be times when the father does not require full coverage on certain days; however, the nanny will still be paid for the guaranteed monthly hours. There may also be opportunities to work additional hours on Family Assistant responsibilities.

The children are bright, active, and curious. The family is seeking a nanny who is playful, reliable, and genuinely enjoys engaging with children through age-appropriate activities, outings, and play.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Provide warm, attentive care for the children and help manage their daily routines
• Prepare the children’s meals, snacks, and pack school lunches; clean up after children’s meals
• Drop-off and pick-up from school and activities
• Organize playdates and enriching activities (arts, museums, outdoor play, etc.)
• Maintain daily communication and provide updates to the father
• Child-related light housekeeping: tidy children’s bedroom/playroom, toy clean-up, children’s laundry (wash/fold/put away), keep closets organized
• Child-focused FA support (e.g help manage the children’s schedules, organize their clothing, and run child-related errands)
• Work collaboratively with therapists/providers when applicable
• Homework help as needed
• Occasional weekend travel to Connecticut is ideal; private accommodations provided

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional nanny experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience caring for multiple children within a similar age range
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to start)
• Non-smoker
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to provide 2–3 strong, relevant childcare references
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Calm, patient, and reliable with a steady, nurturing presence
• Strong communication skills and the ability to support stability and consistency in the home

Compensation: $35-$40 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Legal payment on a W-2. Overtime after 40 hours per week (10 + hours of OT, every two weeks).
