Job Overview

We are seeking a Full-Time Retail Sales Assistant & Grocery Store Brand Demonstrator to join our busy pet store team. The ideal candidate will have strong retail experience, a positive attitude and confidence representing our brands in a customer-facing environment.

This role will involve working in our pet store as well as demonstrating and promoting our brands in grocery stores and other retail locations. You will play an important role in increasing brand awareness, engaging with customers, and providing knowledgeable advice about our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the retail team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
• Assist with stock management, merchandising, and store presentation
• Handle transactions and ensure accurate cash handling
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and animals
• Represent and promote our brands through demonstrations in grocery stores and other retail locations
• Engage with shoppers, introduce them to our products, and provide information and advice
• Carry out product demonstrations and create a positive, engaging customer experience
• Help increase brand awareness and encourage customers to trial and purchase our products
• Ensure promotional displays and demonstration areas are clean, attractive, and well presented
• Provide feedback to the management team on customer responses and promotional activity
• Travel to grocery stores and other locations as required for scheduled demonstrations

Requirements

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Previous retail experience in a similar role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident speaking with customers and promoting products
• Comfortable working independently when carrying out demonstrations
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work in different retail locations
• A genuine passion for animals and interest in the pet industry
