Full Time Sewing Craftsperson

Unobtainium Gear is a small Henrico-based business specializing in high-quality, American made tactical equipment.

Qualifications:

• Professional sewing experience is required for this position. Candidates must be comfortable with industrial single needle sewing machines (ex. Juki 2810-7, Juki 1541, Juki 1341, etc.)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education/training
• Must be eager and quick to learn new skills and techniques
• Must be self-motivated and hardworking
• Values quality and attention to detail
• Work as a team player and contributes to a positive workplace experience
• Can work without distractions from screens or personal devices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with others to meet production goals
• Good physical health and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Employees will learn to build, sew, and assemble the range of gear we design and sell. Most items are sewn from start to finish by one person.

Benefits:

• Full Time (40hr/week): Starting pay will be based on experience/ability and will increase as skills improve. A motivated individual will get to speed in about 6-9 months.

Pay: $45,760.00 - $60,000.00 per year
