Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves students with multiple disabilities
• Reinforce learning of materials or skills
• Assist with daily living skills, including toileting
• Provides academic support
• Implements behavior support plan
• Monitors progress towards IEP goals
• Works under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
• SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

1. Accepts and follows through on constructive criticism made by supervisors.

2. Attends and participates in in-service training programs and staff development meetings as directed.

3. Learn new teaching strategies or skills when necessary.

4. Abides by policies as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook.

1. Can physically lift up to 50 pounds and assist in lifting over 100 pounds and assist students in all daily activities.

This will require the ability to physically lift a student or assist in lifting and physically accompany a student during activities such as toileting, personal hygiene and self-care tasks. Can physically lift or assist in lifting students into adaptive/therapy equipment when appropriate.

2. Is able to physically assist students during fire drills or actual emergency situations.

2. Maintains professional attitudes and productive relationships with other staff

and administration.

3. Treats parents and other professionals with respect.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.65 - $24.81 per hour
