We are hiring a fun painting instructor to lead "painting parties"!
Please note this is a gig based position in your locale. This is a great side hustle that’s easy to balance with other part-time jobs, freelancing, or school!
You'll have fun sharing your passion for art and meeting different people! Our engagements are intimate (typically 10-20 guests, but we sometimes have larger events), and our customers are friendly and respectful.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Need a car and valid license, to drive to events and transport art supplies
- Have at least 3 days free between Tuesday and Saturday from 12-6 PM
- Be great with painting in acrylic. Preferably a Fine Arts student, but self taught is also accepted. You will need to submit painting samples or a portfolio
- Be reliable and responsive. You MUST be punctual and responsible
- Be an outgoing people person, who handles stressful situations with grace
- Have great spoken English. Must be able to break down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-understand steps for beginners
- Be able to store ~3 medium size boxes of art supplies at home

COMPENSATION: In addition to the hourly rate listed, we also compensate for driving at 0.40 cents/mile. You also get to deduct the miles on your tax return at the 0.65 cents/mile (federal rate). With all that, you essentially get compensated $1.05 per mile for driving on the job!

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

1. Intro phone call/info session for 20-30 minutes
2. Observe a virtual paint party that we’ve hosted and see what it’s like, and read through our instruction guide for leading parties (1 hour).
3. Meet for a 1:1 painting session over Zoom, where you’ll teach us how to paint an image as if we’re a total beginner (1 hour)
