About The Role:
Gather by Cater Care is proud to partner with one of the region’s most prestigious schools to deliver high-quality food and event services in Peppermint Grove, WA. We’re seeking an experienced Functions Supervisor to lead and coordinate functions across the campus on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will manage events of all sizes, from small meetings to large formal functions - overseeing production, rostering, setup, and pack-down. As a key client-facing professional, you’ll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure every event runs seamlessly and is delivered to the highest standard.

Roster: Flexible based on functions (40 hrs/week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee catering services for events, from casual teas to formal dinners
• Develop strong client relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution
• Plan, lead and develop the team to ensure successful events
• Ensure food and service meet school standards and dietary needs
• Address any issues during events to guarantee a positive experience
• Maintaining budgetary controls to ensure financial objectives are met

Skills and Experiences:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience leading teams and coordinating large-scale events
• Strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills
• Significant experience in the hospitality sector
• Demonstrated capability to train, roster, and manage staff effectively
• Confidence using function software systems
• Hands-on experience overseeing function setup, service, and pack-down
