About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Gardener to join the grounds team at the prestigious Powerscourt Hotel. Set within one of Ireland’s most renowned estates, this role is key to maintaining the exceptional standards of our landscaped gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring a beautiful and welcoming environment for guests year-round.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees to a high standard
• Plant, prune, weed, and fertilise as required
• Assist in seasonal planting and landscape projects
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely
• Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases
• Support the upkeep of pathways, outdoor features, and general grounds
• Ensure all work aligns with health & safety regulations
• Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance and hospitality team

Requirements

• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture
• Knowledge of plants, soil care, and seasonal maintenance
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant horticulture qualification (desirable but not essential)
