Damien Keane Garden Design Ltd are based between Gorey and Arklow on the Wicklow/Wexford border. We design, build and care for private bespoke gardens ranging in size from small town house spaces to large garden estates, mainly in south Dublin but we also have clients in Co. Wexford. We are looking to recruit a skilled gardener. The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of our base in Gorey, county Wexford.

Job Spec:

• To work as part of our garden aftercare and soft landscaping team to deliver the high standards held by the company.
• Carry out day to day gardening/planting:
• Grass cutting, pruning, weeding, raking, watering etc.
• Planting both as part of garden aftercare and mass planting as part of larger garden installation jobs.

· Assist the hard landscaping team as necessary. This includes groundworks, light civils and construction.

· Ability to work in other parts of the company as required e.g. nursery work.

Requirements:

• Current Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
• Previous experience in garden aftercare and soft landscaping is essential.
• Proven horticultural knowledge and communication skills.
• Comprehensive plant knowledge.
• Fluent in English.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other members of our team.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight schedules.
• Full clean driving licence.

Previous Experience:

• 2 years+ experience and knowledge in the following
• Gardening
• Pruning
• Planting
• Use of horticultural machinery

We are offering:

• A full-time contract after probationary period
• Pay based on experience with uniform and full PPE provided.
• A basic working week of 40 hours, Monday to Friday
• Overtime pay, where necessary, at time and a half
