Our team offer’s full furnace, air-conditioning and fireplace installations along with gas piping, WETT certifications and chimney sweeps. In addition to your fireplace needs, we also carry a large selection of BBQ’s and accessories. Carrying brand names like Napoleon, Jotul, Valcort, Valor, Dekko, Harman and Big Green Egg we can provide quality for years of entertaining and enjoyment. Fire Away opened its second location in March 2017 in Cobourg Ontario followed by Port Perry & Uxbridge in 2025.

· Candidate will be installing and servicing fireplaces, furnaces and gas lines throughout Durham and the Northumberland, Port Perry & Uxbridge.

· Looking for a lead installer who is looking to grow and stay with a company. Someone who takes pride in their craft and is willing to learn and be a team player. This candidate should have strong leadership skills, looking for candidate to be organized, responsible and clean to help maintain a professional job site when installing.

· Candidate must have a great attention to detail when installing and finishing.

· Must be comfortable working in a TEAM setting, this person will be apart of our Fire Away "Family". Our work culture is very very important to us, this person must fit with our company values.

· Candidate will have a range of duties that may change on occasion.

It is expected that candidate will pay close attention to loading vehicles before each install, (This is required to do at the end of your shift)must have close attention to detail when packing for jobs.

· Must have experience handling power tools

· Candidate will be working in fast work environments; ideal candidate will thrive under pressure.

· Minimum (2) years experience

DURING THE BUSY SEASON SEPTEMBER - JANUARY HOURS MAY VARY - Some days may require longer shifts into the evening until after the holidays (7pm) . Overtime hour will be compensated.

· MUST HAVE G2 Gas Licence or higher

· WETT Certified would be an asset but not required

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and willing and comfortable to travel within Durham, Northumberland and surround areas in all seasons.
