General Helper

Reports to - The General Helper will report to the Solid Waste Operations Manager.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the truck driver during collection routes by handling bins and ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Collect and return customer bins in accordance with route schedules.
• Perform general duties at the yard, including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and bin repairs.
• Follow all health and safety procedures to keep yourself and your team safe.
• Bring a positive attitude and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
• Work independently and collaboratively to get the job done right.

Requirements

• Full Category B driving license.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and road traffic regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and team oriented.
