General Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support our operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The Laborer will work to support the day-to-day needs of the Grid Management Worcester Maintenance team, helping to ensure that all properties and facilities are clean and well maintained. This position will assist with additional projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials, tools, equipment, etc.
• Maintain parking garages and parking lots. Sweep and power wash areas as needed.
• Picks up and delivers supplies.
• Cuts grass and trims weeds on property, additional landscaping tasks as needed.
• Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup.
• Paint interior and exterior walls and trim.
• Repairs parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
• Operates snow removal equipment and shovels to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
• Salts sidewalks and parking lots to help ensure resident safety.
• Moves furniture, unloads and stores supplies.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Assists in renovation of units as needed.
• All other duties as assigned and required.

Skills and Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in Construction, Maintenance, Landscaping, or related field preferred.
• Experience with computer programs, particularly Microsoft suite products (Outlook, Excel), AppFolio, Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software.
• Has a sense of urgency and assumes responsibility for all assigned maintenance work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed.

Education

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or (GED) required or Trade school equivalency.
• Additional certifications are a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
