We are hiring a General Labourer to join our team in Hamilton serving the Hamilton, Ontario region. This is an exciting opportunity to become an important member of our growing company!

Key Responsibilities:

•Demonstrate a safety-first mindset in all tasks.

•Work independently with minimal oversight, while following directions closely.

•Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

•Safely and responsibly operate various hand and power tools, as well as welding machines.

•Provide material handling support within the manufacturing environment.

•Prepare and paint boilers as the final step in the manufacturing process.

•Care for and maintain a fully equipped industrial paint booth.

•Maintain shop cleanliness.

•Perform other general tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:

•Material handling

•Supporting shipping and receiving functions

•Loading and unloading equipment onto trucks, cranes, and trailers

•Supporting trades in the manufacturing of boilers and auxiliary equipment

•Perform other duties as required by supervisor or designate

Skills, Abilities and Experience:

•Industrial maintenance experience is an asset.

•1–3 years of previous work experience in a mechanical, industrial or manufacturing environment.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to be a team player.

•Previous experience with crane and forklift operation, WHMIS training, confined space, and fall arrest training.

•Valid driver’s license required.

•Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather.

•Very punctual and dependable
