General Labourer/Machine Operator

Job Purpose:

Assist in various functions of our operations while following all safety, environmental, and quality practices, within a fast paced, custom fabrication environment, reporting to the Shift Supervisor.
(This position is hiring for Afternoon shift Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am)

Job Duties:

Operate in a safe manner forklift equipment to deliver or store various parts.
Produce quality product while focusing on given standards.
Opportunity to learn various pieces of equipment or processes in a backup situation.
Ability to operate hand power tools safely.
Ability to perform equipment inspections/checklists when required.
Handle heavy materials manually and with overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner
Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
Advanced capability for using shop measuring equipment, and cutting equipment to cut stock.
Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss.
Conforms to departmental safety requirements.

Skills/Qualifications:

Forklift experience

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or its equivalent, 1+ years’ experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.65 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Experience:

• Machine Operator: 1 year (preferred)
