Maintenance and Facilities Support

You will be working along side our Facilities Manager to assist with the daily maintenance and repairs required within our Programs. By joining our team, you will be making a positive impact on the lives of the clients we support.

We are searching for someone who is reliable, available Sundays to Thursdays with flexible hours, motivated, able to take direction, and possesses the physical strength and the ability to lift heavy items.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Flexibility and strength to support physical labour, such as moving furniture and appliances
• Painting
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks, such as home winterization and smoke alarm maintenance
• Basic electrical, such as changing light switches and light fixtures
• Basic plumbing such as changing faucets and installing toilets
• Ability to problem solve and recommend creative solutions to unique situations
• Basic carpentry and wall repair
• Ability to interact professionally with staff teams and clients

Qualifications

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• First-Aid and CPR
• general knowledge of painting, physical labour experience is required

Salary information: (Salary is dependent on experience)

Previous experience is preferred, but we are open to individuals with previous transferable skills such as: Maintenance Worker, Handyman, Maintenance Technician, General Contractor, Carpenter

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $23.18 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Completing preventative maintenance tasks: 1 year (preferred)
• Facilities maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (preferred)
