*Please note: This role is based within our Potato Pack House Operations. You will be involved in processing fresh potatoes from arrival at the pack house through washing, grading, inspection, packing and dispatch to retailers.

Reporting To: Pack House Manager

Working Hours

This role operates Monday to Friday, with a 7:00am start time and finish times varying according to customer demand and production requirements, typically up to 5:00pm. Occasional weekend work may also be required.

Key Areas Of The Role

• To manage and operate machinery in line with set guidelines and instructions.
• To load the bagged product for dispatch.
• To liaise with other members of staff at various stages of production.
• To carry out cleaning duties and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• To maintain all food safety, quality and health & safety standards at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays when/if required.
• Previous experience in a manual labour, production, packing or machine operation role is desirable.
• Own transport is required as there is no regular public transport available in the area.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Excellent team work and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Full training will be provided.
