General Operative - Yard / Factory

Hadley Engineering Group are seeking a General Operative to work within the existing team.

This General Operative position will be responsible for :

• Supporting the preparation of materials ready for powder coating.
• Cleaning down galvanised products ready for despatch / further work.
• Assembling varied products ready for despatch.
• Inspecting materials that are waiting to be coated and ensuring they are suitable.
• Inspecting materials ready for assembly.
• Inspecting materials ready for despatch.
• Assisting loading and unloading wagons.
• Booking in and out materials, recording quantities and ensuring goods inwards and out are correct to the paperwork.
• Reporting any issues.
• Organising packing materials, including cutting timbers to sizes.
• Use of Fork Lift to move completed work
• Recording all information on paperwork provided in accordance with ISO9001.
• General duties such as house-keeping / tidying in the factory and the yard.
• Supporting other areas of the business where required.
• Health and safety must be considered and complied with at all times.
• Punctual
• Reliable
• Physically fit and able - this is a very physical job and requires consistent lifting and bending.

The company has a reputation for extremely high quality preparation and paintwork on its products so the successful candidates will need to be experienced in the industry or extremely keen to learn to assist in achieving consistent high quality on all jobs.

Working Hours: Mon - Thurs - 7:30 - 16:00 and Friday 07:30 - 16:00 - Any applicants must be willing to work overtime in order to complete the workload each week.

Pay: £11.55-£11.75 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
