General Operative/Combilift Driver

We are looking for an experienced Gerneral Operative for a position in Dublin 3 ideally with a valid Combilift License.

You will be responsible for the organisation of yard and warehouse areas. Working as part of a team you will ensure customers receive a friendly and reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries to the warehouse. Identify and highlight any variances.
• Ensure secure and timely storage of deliveries in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a yard, warehouse, and storage areas that are always kept tidy and in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Pick, pack and load company vehicles.
• Safeguard against theft of goods and/or company property.
• Ensure forklift is employed and maintained in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Work and communicate as part of a team to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and effectively.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the company.
• Take on forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly, and any defects are reported
• Load and unload vehicles in a safe manner
• Reports to the Yard Supervisor.

Knowledge and Experience

• 2 + years’ experience in a similar environment.
• Ability to take initiative and work under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise workloads.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
• Flexible and willing to learn.
• Applicants must have a forklift license.

Contract

• Full time 40-hour week contract
• Working week Monday to Friday.
• Every second Saturday from 8.30 – 13.00
• Occasional early start
