General Practice Nurse

Oakwood Medical Clinic are recruiting a Practice Nurse to join our team. Currently we have two locations (Clonsilla & Castleknock) but we are moving to a brand new purpose built premises in Clonsilla in March 2024!
We are a busy practice with a friendly team consisting of 1 Practice Nurse, 6 GP's, 2 Registrars, 2 Phlebotomists and a full, supportive administrative and management team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Phlebotomy
- Primary childhood and adult vaccinations
- Antenatal care ( including 2 and 6 week checks in conjunction with GP).
- cervical check
- Recording ECG/ABPM/Spirometry
- Skin/wound care ( Suture removal/dressing), Aural care
- Chronic disease Management Programme
- Blood test results-Actions( as per GP/protocol).
- Manage clinical stock, cold chain and adminstration of state scheme
- Ear Syringing
- Sexual health/Family planning
- Administering Prescribed long-term medications/injections
- Health promotion and education
- Telephone triage and advice
Qualification and Skills
- Must be a Registered General Nurse with the NMBI
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Flexible attitude to changing work practices
Prior GP experience preferred but not essential as on site training can be provided by our existing nurse and doctors.
