General Technician

What you will enjoy doing*

• You’d be helping make sure everything stays safe on site—especially around the truck loading area, which is a big focus for us.
• You’ll handle the paperwork tied to truck loading, making sure everything is accurate and complete.
• You’ll pitch in with maintenance work alongside our mechanical, electrical, and operations teams when needed.
• There’s a hands-on element too—things like cleaning, painting, and keeping the site in good shape overall.
• In the winter, that can include snow shoveling, and year-round it includes general yard upkeep and garbage removal.
• A big part of the role is just taking pride in the plant—keeping it tidy, organized, and running smoothly.

What makes you great*

• Ideally, you’ll have a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket—but it’s not a must-have, we can work with the right person.
• You’ll need a valid Class 5 license with a clean driving record.
• If you’ve operated equipment like forklifts, zoom booms, or overhead cranes, that’s great—but we’re also open to training someone who’s eager to learn.
• We’re looking for someone who works safely, follows procedures, and is comfortable sticking to company policies.
• A strong mechanical mindset really helps—someone who likes to understand how things work and isn’t afraid to get hands-on with tools.
• You should be someone who can take direction well but also stay motivated and productive when working independently.
• Basic computer skills (like Word and Excel) and clear communication are important since you’ll be working closely with the team.
• The role is physically active and flexible—you should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights or in confined spaces, and putting in overtime or weekends when needed (being local to the site is a plus).
