Job description
Alliance Agri-Turf is an agricultural supplier that operates a network of facilities that supply and deliver crop inputs to the local farming community.
Role Summary We are currently looking for an individual to join our team as a warehouse worker in order fulfillment at our Mount Albert location. This person will be responsible for operating a forklift, lifting 55lb bags of fertilizer and boxes of crop input chemicals into customers vehicles.
Key Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Warehouse Worker include, but are not limited to:
- Operating a forklift
- Customer service
- Operating specialized equipment
- Verifying shipping and receiving documents match product received
- Loading and unloading bagged fertilizer
- Loading and unloading crop protection products
- Keeping storage facility tidy and organized
Working Conditions
- Warehouse setting
- Overtime as required
- Weekend work as required
- Steel toed boots required
Qualifications
The successful applicant should possess;
- A valid driver’s license..
- Be able to read and write
- Ability to keep organized and pay attention to small details
- Willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary
- An understanding of the agricultural industry would also be an asset.
- Be physically capable
Contract Length
- April 1 to July 1
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 60 per week
