Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Geotechnical Driller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating drilling equipment and machinery to provide high quality soil samples to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in various environments. The Driller will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of drilling operations. This is a permanent full-time position.
Duties
- Operate drilling rigs and associated equipment to perform drilling operations efficiently Diedrich D-120, Diedrich D-50, Mobile B-54, Mobile B61HDX Truck and Morooka Track Mount Rigs and Support Equipment.
- Professional Driver, Record Keeping and Hours of Service (ELD)
- Conduct Geotechnical drilling techniques to reach targeted depths.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize heavy equipment such as pickers, forklifts and Skid Steers for material handling and job preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to build and maintain safe working conditions on-site.
- Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, materials, and other relevant data.
- Training and Mentoring of Drillers Assistants.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and Commercial Vehicles.
- Accommodations, - Hotel or Camp Provided with 60$/Day Subsistence in Hotels.
Skills
- Proficiency in commercial driving with a valid class 1 driver's license.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with Morooka track Geotechnical drilling rigs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on communication and collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Class 1 or 3 Licence - Mandatory
Geotechnical (Auger Drilling) - Mandatory
Geotechnical (ODEX Drilling) - Optional
Geotechnical (Hq3 Rock Coring) - Mandatory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00-$48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 84 per week

Licence/Certification:
- Class 1 Licence (preferred)

Willingness to travel:
- 75% (required)
