The GIANTS are on an exciting journey both on and off the field. With teams in the AFL, the AFL Women’s League and Super Netball competitions, the GIANTS truly are a club like no other.
On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.
Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.
The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

Description:
Position Purpose
We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and community-minded Administration Assistant to join the GIANTS Foundation team from February to November 2026. Working one day (or two half days) each week, this role provides vital administrative and event support - helping to keep our fundraising programs, donor communications, and community events running smoothly.

- All three playing groups: AFL, AFLW & GIANTS Netball
- Philanthropic networks (State and National)
- Small to medium enterprises across NSW and the ACT
- Corporate sponsors and partners
- High net worth individuals
- Existing and prospective coterie members
Administration & Coordination
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Foundation team.
- Manage and maintain the GIANTS Foundation inbox, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Update donor databases and maintain accurate records of fundraising activities.
- Assistant with budget tracking, invoicing, and prize fulfillment.
- Prepare board and leadership reports, presentations, and summaries as needed.
- Assistant in planning, coordination, and execution of Foundation events and activations.
- Manage participant communications for fundraising challenges and campaigns (e.g. Walk with GIANTS, Pledge a Picket).
- Support with donor stewardship, including thank-you messages and recognition touchpoints.
- Coordinate the delivery of prizes, auction items, and other donor incentives.
- Regularly brief the GIANTS Media and Digital teams on upcoming Foundation stories, milestones, and event coverage.
- Support the collection of content, imagery, and impact stories for social and web use.
- Help maintain an active content calendar across Foundation campaigns.
- Assist in the creation of newsletters and donor updates.
- Support staff volunteering initiatives, including Foundation Day and other community activities.
- Liaise with community partners and participants to strengthen engagement and impact.
- Contribute creative ideas to grow Foundation awareness and participation.
Skills and Knowledge
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM/fundraising tools (training provided).
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and genuine passion for making a difference.
- Experience in events, fundraising, or marketing coordination preferred (not essential).
Flexible working arrangement: 14 hours per week (2 full day or the equivalent). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support Foundation events.
A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) is required.
