About the role
Join us in building next-generation GIS tools that support modern transportation and civil infrastructure.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented GIS Technician to help digitize spatial data and support database management. In this role, you’ll work with modern database technologies and collaborate with a fast-moving team developing GIS applications at the forefront of survey and transportation asset management.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation and analytical mindset who enjoys solving problems, improving workflows, and contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects.
What you'll do
- Digitize and manage spatial datasets with high accuracy
- Support GIS database organization and maintenance
- Identify bottlenecks in workflows and help develop smarter solutions
- Collaborate with engineers and GIS specialists on application development
- Work with modern GIS tools and data management techniques
- Contribute to continuous improvements in processes and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, GIS, or a related field
- 1+ year of experience working with ArcGIS
- 1+ year of experience handling LiDAR data (survey or processing experience is a strong plus)
- Familiarity with QGIS and Python is an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A genuine curiosity and passion for learning and pushing technical boundaries
