About the role
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a Global Business Development Manager who will drive strategic growth across the Energy, Maritime, and Land/Commercial verticals. This role focuses on ensuring product specification, creating tailored value propositions, building strong relationships with consultants and end-users, and navigating regulatory landscapes to influence key stakeholders. You will act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between client needs and company solutions. The role provides a unique opportunity to shape our future market footprint and can be based in one of Autronica’s offices in: Oslo, Stavanger, Copenhagen, Dubai.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Identify and develop new market opportunities across the Energy, Maritime, and Land/Commercial verticals.
- Build and execute strategies to achieve specified revenue growth and market penetration goals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to define sector-specific value propositions and provide the market insights and sector-specific strategies.
- Stay informed on industry regulations, standards, and certifications in fire alarm and gas detection systems.
- Develop a network of key industry influencers to enhance the company's visibility and credibility and influence regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to align with company standards and innovations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, and end-users to ensure that the company is positioned as a preferred vendor and company products are specified in projects.
- Work closely with the technical team to ensure products are tailored to meet sector-specific requirements.
- Monitor project pipelines to identify and engage with key stakeholders early in the project lifecycle.
Who we’re looking for:
As part of our team, you’ll have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience in business development, preferably in fire detection, safety systems, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and project dynamics.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and secure product specifications in complex projects.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, analytical and relationship-building skills needed to develop processes, plans and strategies to expand our global sales effort, and drive growth.
- A pro-active can-do attitude, as well as an action and result oriented approach.
