Global Corporate Banking -Mid-Cap, Vice President - Singapore
JOB DESCRIPTION


As a Vice President for Mid-Cap Segment within Global Corporate Bank, you are responsible for originating, developing and managing relationships with public-listed and private companies with specific focus on Singaporean headquartered, promoter-driven and home-grown clients segment. This division looks to support and provide traditional corporate banking offerings and solutions, as well as investment banking products to its clients. You will also work closely with our business partners, including product specialists ranging from Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisition, Financial Markets, Payments & Treasury Services, Risk & Credit Management and Private Banking in identifying and supporting needs and cross-selling opportunities. You are also expected to be capable of independently driving business origination, execution & delivery, and growth, with proven track record of client relationship accesses, skills and ability to call upon at the senior management level. You need to have strong Corporate Banking, credit risk, and transaction execution skills, and have Corporate Finance and Investment Banking knowledge and experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, originate, pursue, execute and close sales opportunities for a broad range of corporate banking and financial products and services for Commercial Banking clients and prospects in line with JP Morgan Chase’s client selection strategy.
  • Manage complex, multi-product client relationships as the primary client coverage relationship manager.
  • Coordinate sales and service efforts of multiple internal business partners and stakeholders.
  • Proactively market to clients and prospects; represent Corporate Client Banking group in the local corporate banking space and business communities, as well as develop a network of referral sources.
  • Collaborate with the credit risk underwriting team on credit risk tasks, structuring, negotiation, and documentation of credit requests.
  • Initiate and maintain strategic dialogue with clients and prospects to generate ongoing corporate banking, financial markets, payment & treasury services, and credit opportunities.
  • Mentor junior bankers where applicable.
  • Comply with all regulatory and JP Morgan Chase’s rules, policies, and procedures; and represent our local banking practice.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 7 years of prior experiences within Corporate & Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Financial Markets and/or Payment & Treasury Services.
  • Extensive and strong experience as an outstanding Client Coverage / Relationship Manager marketing and originating corporate / commercial banking products and investment banking services.
  • Knowledge of credit, corporate finance, payments & treasury, financial markets, investment banking, and other corporate banking products.
  • Strong leadership abilities in financial services sales and business development with solid credit, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and perseverance in originating and on-boarding New-To-Bank relationships within a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and self-motivated, a resourceful and dependable team player.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Completion of a recognized bank credit training program or investment banking training program
