In this role, of the Global Product Coordinator (GPC) for RHI Magnesita's tempered magnesia carbon brick (MGU) and taphole (FA) product portfolio you will be part of defining and driving the execution of product strategies, resolving product related technical issues, and managing our product portfolio, including new products related to mergers and acquisitions. You are acting as a key technical interface between our regional R&D, marketing and sales and our global functions, as well as our plant network whilst travelling up to 30% of your working time.
Your goal is to efficiently drive our product lifecycle management from cradle to grave, reducing complexity and creating value. You are helping to develop and foster new technologies and products and supporting the market roll-out, coordinating projects in close cooperation with R&D and marketing. As a technical expert, you provide technical consultation to our regional marketing colleagues across the globe, supporting by a global holistic view on the product portfolio of MGU and FA.
Your tasks
- Managing product portfolios throughout all lifecycle stages and support integration from mergers and acquisitions.
- Coordinating product and technology development projects while collaborating closely with our internal and external experts.
- Providing technical expertise for troubleshooting, complaint handling, and process optimizations in operations.
- Assisting sales and marketing teams with technical input, customer complaint resolution, and training initiatives.
- Promoting the use of digital/AI tools, monitor intellectual property, and contribute to decisions on patents and licensing.
- Gathering customer and competitor feedback, and present new products and developments internally and externally.
Your profile
- Collaborative, proactive and analytical approach with ability to push-back
- Master’s degree in Mechanical, Ceramic, Materials, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Many years of experience in technical marketing (preferably mini mills and/or integrated steel plants) and/or application of refractory products in the steel industry
- Expertise on tempered magnesia bricks and taphole applications
- Extensive project management skills
- Solid MS Office skills
