What you can expect
Workvivo is the employee communications platform trusted by some of the world's most recognisable brands, now scaling globally as part of Zoom. We connect millions of employees to their companies' culture, leadership and purpose — and our Sales Development org is a critical engine of that growth.
We're hiring a Global Sales Development Manager to own and elevate that engine. This is a newly structured leadership role with full global remit: you'll lead a team of 16 SDRs and managers across AMER, EMEA, LATAM and APAC, reporting directly to the Head of Growth. You'll be the architect of how we build pipeline at scale — the systems, the coaching model, the culture and the operational discipline that turns a solid team into a world-class one.
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage by spreadsheet. We're looking for a builder — someone who has led high-performing SDR teams before, who coaches daily, who designs playbooks that actually get used, and who holds the bar high.
About the team
Workvivo operates at the intersection of employee communications and employee insights, serving mid-market and enterprise companies globally. Our buyers are CHROs, CTOs, CIOs and Internal Comms Directors — a senior, multi-stakeholder profile that rewards insight-led, persona-aware outreach over high-volume spray approaches.
This is a genuinely exciting moment to join. Workvivo recently launched Seer, our employee insights solution, bringing listening, analytics and action into a single platform alongside our communications product. And with Workvivo HQ — our AI-native employee experience platform — now in market, we have a compelling, expanded story to take to enterprise buyers. Two strong products, a rapidly expanding global footprint, and the backing of Zoom's worldwide network: the opportunity to build pipeline at scale and make a material impact on Workvivo's next chapter of growth has never been greater.
The team operates a balanced motion: structured outbound sequencing into target accounts sits alongside managed inbound response. You'll need to lead both competently and know when to prioritise which.
Responsibilities
- Own the global SDR pipeline number. You are accountable for qualified pipeline generated across AMER, EMEA, LATAM and APAC — meeting volume, opportunity conversion rates and pipeline quality are your metrics to move
- Design and manage weekly, monthly and quarterly performance cadences that keep the team focused on the right inputs
- Identify velocity blockers early and fix them fast — whether that’s sequencing gaps, rep skills, data quality or routing issues
- Directly manage and develop the EMEA SDR Manager and LATAM SDR coverage, and collaborate closely with AMER SDR leadership
- Build a daily coaching culture — call reviews, email critiques, live roleplay — that raises the floor and lifts the ceiling of the whole team
- Own and build the SDR Academy: design and run the structured onboarding ramp, skills certification programme and ongoing excellence tracks that accelerate rep time-to-productivity and create a clear, recognised internal career path
- Identify, retain and develop top performers while holding underperformers to clear and supported improvement plans
- Own the outbound playbook: ICP targeting, sequencing strategy, persona messaging and channel mix for both Workvivo and Workvivo HQ product lines
- Build and iterate inbound handling standards — response time, qualification criteria, handoff quality — to ensure no pipeline leaks through poor process
- Partner with Growth Marketing on campaign follow-up sequencing and ABM motion alignment so SDR activity amplifies, not duplicates, marketing investment
- Work closely with Sales leadership and AEs to tighten meeting quality and accelerate pipeline conversion — including feedback loops on what’s converting and what isn’t
What we're looking for
- Have a proven track record leading SDR or BDR teams in a B2B SaaS environment, including managing managers and distributed global teams
- Have experience across both outbound and inbound motions — you understand the mechanics of both and can coach reps in either
- Have a coaching-first leadership style — you spend time in the trenches with reps, not just in dashboards
- Have a hands-on experience building SDR playbooks, onboarding programmes and performance frameworks that actually change rep behaviour
- Strong commercial acumen: you understand pipeline economics, conversion rates and what it takes to close a pipeline gap
- Proficiency with HubSpot and/or Salesforce, and sequencing tools such as Outreach or Salesloft
- Exceptional cross-functional communication — you’re as comfortable in a QBR with the CRO as you are on a coaching call with a new rep
