Position Summary

The Golf Assistant Food & Beverage Supervisor will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to; being responsible for all aspects of the kitchen, bar and banquet hall, handling and balancing cash, safe production and service of food and beverage products, coordination of room set up and menus for functions and tournaments, creating daily food and beverage specials, placing orders for food and beverage supplies, day to day monitoring of inventory, and following procedures for inventory and waste control. Other duties include monitoring and directing concession staff, training and supervision of new staff members and promoting a team approach to the food and beverage staff. Hours of work vary depending upon weather conditions and employees are expected to work day, afternoon and weekend shifts. This position involves standing for long periods of time and moderate lifting.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to supervise, exceptional communication, the ability to make sound decisions, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Prior experience in the food and beverage industry at a supervisory level would be an asset, and experience in food preparation
  • Possess the skills and abilities to perform the duties listed above
  • Applicants will know and understand all health and safety guidelines, be able to operate all cooking and food preparation equipment (including fryers and grills) safely and effectively
  • Smart Serve and Safe Food Handling Certificates will be required prior to commencing employment
  • A valid "G2" Ontario Driver's License in good standing during the course of employment
  • A valid Standard First Aid Certificate with a level "C" CPR is mandatory for this position and must be submitted with your application
  • As a condition of employment, applicants must submit a current Police Information Check (dated within the past 3 months) from their local police service for approval by the Corporation prior to commencing employment
  • Minimum age 18 years old on or before the start date (May 2025)
  • Interviews will commence January 2025
