This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful golf course setting while being part of a supportive, energetic team.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Guest Experience

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Listen to customer needs, answer product questions, and offer personalised recommendations
• Handle enquiries about tee times, course rules, and facilities
• Resolve customer issues promptly and escalate to a supervisor when necessary.

Merchandising & Inventory

• Receive, unpack, and stock golf apparel, shoes, bags, clubs, and accessories
• Maintain attractive, organised displays and rotate new arrivals and clearance items
• Ensure accurate pricing and maintain visual standards
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts

Sales & Point-of-Sale Operations

• Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including sales, returns, and exchanges
• Upsell complementary products and add-on services (e.g., gloves, balls, custom fittings)
• Apply promotions, discounts, and loyalty programme benefits
• Issue receipts, warranties, and gift receipts as required

Product Knowledge

• Keep up-to-date with all products including clubs, balls, grips, bags, apparel, and accessories
• Stay informed about brand partnerships, promotions, and course-specific merchandise
• Provide information on fit, materials, and care instructions

Operations & Administration

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe shop environment
• Support opening and closing procedures and daily housekeeping tasks
• Maintain price tags, signage, and promotional displays
• Assist with special events, tournaments, and demo days

Team Collaboration

• Communicate with golf shop staff, pro shop, and course maintenance to coordinate service
• Share customer feedback and product trends with management
• Support teammates during busy periods and help cover shifts as needed

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
• Handle equipment and tools safely
• Follow data protection guidelines when handling customer information

Skills & Qualities to Succeed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong product knowledge and passion for golf
• Basic maths and cash-handling ability
• Ability to upsell tactfully and read customer cues
• Organisation, time management, and attention to detail
• Team player with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods
