Golf & Sports Event Executive

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Golf & Sports Events Executive.

With the support of the Golf & Sports Sales Manager this role will be responsible for the planning & co-ordination of all Group & Sports bookings. The role will be responsible for re-contracting annual bookings, increasing Golf & Sports Event revenues across the portfolio of hotels through creative upselling techniques, and above all responsible for creating and delivering outstanding experiences for all Golf & Sports Events.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong sales acumen, and have a proven track record in selling and executing events.

What you’ll do

• Respond to all golf and group sport event enquires across various channels for hotels across the portfolio
• Build strong relationships with Golf Wholesales, Sports Agents and Teams
• Accurately forecasts golf & sport group rooms, green fee revenue & catering
• Proactively cross refer lead opportunities within cluster for both these segments or other Marriott properties where appropriate
• Coordination of all customer requirements, including communication and completing verbally and in writing with the customer the details of an event up to handover to on property team.
• Provides support to all hotels as required and requested for the golf & sport segment
• Training and execution of 59 Club Golf enquiry standards, continually review and agree improvement actions to ensure benchmark percentage is exceeded
• Ownership for the management and conversion of assigned enquiries from Sports Teams, Wholesale, Society and Corporate Golf Days

With this role you will be working 40 hours per week over 5 days, predominately Monday – Friday day shifts although there may be the need to cover weekends or evenings for showrounds or to welcome your Clients for their event, after all you wouldn’t miss out seeing the smile on their face after all of your planning.

This role will be available to start on 30th July 2025, based at Delta Hotels by Marriott Worsley Park, Manchester. You will be employed by Amante Capital, who are the management company for the portfolio of hotels from 3oth July.
