We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Qualified Mechanic, based in the Munster (Limerick area) to cover a number of golf courses throughout the Munster region. A company van will be provided and travel will be a key part of this role to service the plant and machinery of the various courses.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Plant & Machinery Manager we are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and professional individual to join our expanding team, which is committed to consistently delivering service excellence. The role will include preventative maintenance, servicing and repair to an extensive fleet of golf course maintenance equipment.
Key Deliverables
- Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment, including, diesel, electric- and gasoline-powered automobiles, mowers, tractors, rollers and other mechanical equipment used in utility work
- Completes regular servicing of all equipment and sharpening of mowing equipment
- Executes job cards for works completed
- Complies with all legislation and regulations including provisions contained in the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

Experience Required
- Mechanical experience
- Electro-hydraulic experience is an advantage
- Previous experience in a mechanical role
- Hold a full driving license
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Desirable but not essential
- Be proficient using operating reel and bed knife grinders
- Welding/fabrication experience
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic and hydraulic system
- Practical experience in greenkeeping and/or working with golf course equipment
- Holds a trailer license
