Where you'll be working

Hornsby Hospital - GPU

What you'll be doing
To work in collaboration with the GP’S, and Nursing staff, to provide comprehensive Primary Health Care for patients of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital (HKH) GP Training Unit. The person in this position will continue to develop, facilitate, implement and evaluate management plans for patients with chronic complex health needs. The incumbent will be involved in educating Junior Medical Officers (JMO’s) and GP Registrars in these areas, as well as educating patients with a focus on preventative health measures.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Outline your experience working in Primary Health Care.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers, families and communities is paramount in this role. What exposure or training have you had in your previous/current role.
