Graduate Engineer – 2 Year Graduate Program

This is a role well suited to an ambitious recently Graduated Engineer, looking to take the first steps of their career and expand on the theoretical and practical skills gained during their degree.

Siemens Healthineers based in Swords, Dublin, are expanding the engineering team to complement our existing broad range of engineering competencies and is looking to recruit a Graduate Engineer on a 2-year development program.

The successful candidate will report to a Principal Engineer or Senior Engineer on site in Swords and will form part of a flexible engineering team who support the development, manufacture and commercial support of medical laboratory diagnostics instrumentation.

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers hands-on experience, training, and development opportunities in a professional engineering environment. You will support engineering projects from design through implementation, while gaining practical knowledge and working alongside experienced professionals.

This is a 2-year graduate program aimed at transitioning new graduates to be capable engineers in a highly technical and highly regulated Med Tech environment.

The critical skills we are looking for

  • Assist with the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions and systems
  • Work collaboratively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams on ongoing projects
  • An aptitude in engineering, data analysis and report writing skills
  • Analyze problems to root cause with a structured approach
  • Continuously learn and apply new tools, technologies, and methodologies relevant to your discipline

Required for the success of this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, Software or AI) is required – 2024 Graduates will also be considered for this role.
  • Strong academic performance with solid understanding of engineering principes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
