As part of our Delegated Solutions International Client Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Mercer’s investment solutions client base across Ireland, wider Europe and Asia. Mercer is one of the fastest growing investment solutions entities globally, and our client base has grown substantially over recent years with further growth to come.

This role will be based in Dublin . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

What can you expect:

The role will involve assisting senior investment consultants and liaising with wider operational, portfolio management and consulting colleagues to ensure the delivery of a high-quality client experience. It will facilitate exciting career opportunities within a dynamic and rapidly growing area of Mercer’s business driven by strong demand across new markets.

As part of the International Client Team, the successful candidate will develop an intricate knowledge of Mercer’s investment research and fund solutions by liaising on an ongoing basis with operational, portfolio management and research teams, and help to filter this expertise across Mercer’s teams of field consultants and clients.

We will rely on you to:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercer’s delegated fund structures and solutions in order to explain and communicate to colleagues and clients.
  • Provide support to senior consultants on a variety of topics including client queries in regards to performance analysis, strategic asset allocation advice, economic commentaries, document drafting and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Liaise with wider operational, portfolio management and consulting teams across Mercer, including management of projects as they arise.
  • Support and influence the development of Mercer’s overall client-service delivery across the entire Delegated Solutions client base, ensuring a first-class customer experience in a scalable way.
  • Liaise with our dedicated performance reporting unit in relation to the production and delivery of client investment reports within tight deadlines.
  • Manage projects such as on-boarding of new clients, including direct contact with clients
  • Production of bespoke and ad-hoc investment reports.

What you need to have:

  • Third level qualification with a strong academic track record (minimum 2.1 degree) – would suit actuarial graduate or high-quality finance graduate working towards the CFA qualification or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Energy, proactivity and desire to see things done efficiently
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Be capable of working within a team with an ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Be proactive and goal orientated.
  • Strong IT skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
