Ballyheane Buttercups is recruiting for an enthusiastic Graduate Lead Educator for our wobbler room, working with children aged 18 months to 3 years. This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday for up to 8 hours per day.

Graduate Early Years Educator duties include but not limited to:
- Looking after the daily care and individual needs of wobbler aged children.
- Planning and engaging in appropriate activities to facilitate the potential and development of each child
- Creating an environment that is both safe and exciting for the children
- Working as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written with children, parents and staff alike
- Appreciate the role of parents, and establish strong relationships with them in the best interests of the children
- Planning and observations.
- Observe, record and report children’ progression
- Following the Aistear curriculum and Síolta standards in creating a stimulating child-led inquiry based curriculum
- Ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date
- Creating an inclusive environment where children feel respected, and heard.
- Adhering to and maintaining all company policies and procedures
- Ensuring the cleanliness of your room, sweeping, hoovering and mopping as needed
- Ensure an organised and stimulating environment for the children to enjoy each day
Requirements for childcare practitioner
- Candidates must hold a minimum of QQI Level 7 qualification in Early years education or equivalent childcare qualification.
- Strong work ethic
- Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
- Have good Health and Safety awareness
- Enthusiasm for the role
- Be knowledgeable in Aistear and Síolta
- Have experience in planning and carrying out age appropriate curriculum
- Understand and follow TUSLA regulations
- Be naturally warm and respectful towards children and their needs
- Be committed to working with early years and a willingness to engage in CPD
- Experience of working with children aged 18 months to 3 years is preferred but not essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €17.75 per hour
