Galway is home to our Design and Technical Support Department and we are seeking a Graduate Mechanical / Energy / Building Services Engineer to join the team there. If you are an Engineering graduate in any of these fields we would love to hear from you.

The engineer will be part of a Quote & Design team, taking care of design, sizing and quoting of Joule products as well as providing Design support on all Joule products and systems. More specifically the Engineer will be responsible for

• Design and support of underfloor and radiator heating system installations.
• Design and support of Ventilation and renewable energy installations.
• Design and support of DHW cylinders and Heat Pump installations.
• Use of Software packages to ensure best practice upgrades.
• Use of phones to communicate with customers
• Carry out technical sales queries and quotations for customers.
• Provide technical and design support to clients and customers.
• Work as part of a team to solve problems and provide solutions to the client.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Graduate level 8 Degree in Building Services/Mechanical/Energy Engineering or related technical discipline with relevant experience
• Excellent Communications skills.
• Strong customer focus and telephone manner
• Be able to work well as part of a team whilst also having the ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong IT and analytical skills.
• Use of AutoCAD, solid works, DEAP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The following would be an advantage

• Ventilation and Heat pump design and its integration in buildings.
• Part L Building regulations
• UK & Irish Building Regulations
• Building industry rules and regulations for heating, plumbing and electricity.
• BER and DEAP software
• SAP and MCS tools.
