Through hands-on site experience, expert mentoring, and professional training, you’ll become a safety champion and play a pivotal role in delivering safe and efficient projects.
What You'll Do:
- Proactively participate in structured training, on-site coaching, and practical work experience.
- Support Project Managers and Safety Managers in improving workplace health and safety.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety systems and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, providing actionable feedback.
- Investigate incidents and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Stay current with legislation, industry standards, and innovative safety practices.
- Champion a transparent and positive safety culture, leading by example.
About You:
- Passionate and energetic about safety, with a proactive approach to mitigating risks.
- A team player with a positive, collaborative mindset.
- Detail-oriented with intermediate skills in data entry, Microsoft Office, and task organisation.
- A strong communicator, capable of building rapport across all levels of the organisation.
- Holds a Certificate IV in OHS (or similar) and Construction Induction Training (White Card).
- Possesses a valid driver’s licence and is open to travel between sites.
- Construction industry experience and a background in HSEQ are highly regarded.
