A sales trainee is an entry-level professional who learns sales procedures, supports the sales team, and develops customer service and sales skills under supervision. Role Overview sales trainee is an entry-level position designed to provide structured training in sales processes, customer interaction, and organizational procedures. Traineeships typically last six months to a year and aim to equip candidates with the knowledge and skills to work independently and contribute to the company’s sales goals. The role is common in both retail and B2B sectors, with B2B trainees often experiencing longer training periods due to complex sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities Sales trainees perform a variety of tasks under the guidance of experienced team members, including:
- Learning and mastering the company’s sales process and product/service offerings.
- Supporting the sales team in customer acquisition and relationship management.
- Observing and assisting in sales administration, including calls, emails, and client meetings.
- Conducting market research and helping develop sales strategies.
- Maintaining and updating customer records and databases.
- Providing administrative support, such as preparing quotes, reports, and presentations.
- Participating in training sessions, trade events, or client visits, which may require travel and a valid driving license.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
