What we are looking for:

Previous greenkeeping experience desirable but not essential

A good knowledge of golf course maintenance practices

Full drivers licence required

Previous experience performing service repairs on agricultural or golf turf equipment

Previous experience as a small engine mechanic or small engine technician preferred

Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures.

Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mowing turf using tractors, ride-on machines and specialist hand mowers
• Treating turf to ensure consistent playing surfaces
• Renovating and maintaining bunkers and other hazards such as water features
• Applying irrigation
• Cutting new holes on greens
• Operating and maintaining machinery and tools
• Assist with maintaining and repairing of all types of garden and turf machinery including (lawnmowers, ride-on mowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, rotavators, blowers, etc.) under the direction and supervision of the senior mechanic
• Assist with servicing of all types of garden and turf machinery and all power options including (battery, two stroke, petrol and diesel powered).
