This role is part of GE Vernova Grid Solutions’ Engineering Graduate Program, an Engineering leadership pipeline scheme aimed at providing fast-tracked opportunities in developing young Engineers’ technical know-how, operational skills and leadership capacities.

As a participant of the program, you will be able to gain comprehensive understanding of the technologies and operations of Flexible AC Transmission Systems. You will also have an opportunity to interact with graduates and engineers from various other businesses in GEV Grid Solutions, such as High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC), High Voltage Switchgear (HVS), Power Transformers and Grid Automation.

Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) products improve the controllability and stability of electrical grids, enhancing power transfer capabilities and reducing transmission losses. You will work with technologies such as Static Var Compensators (SVC), Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM), and Series Compensation solutions, which are critical in optimizing grid performance and integrating renewable energy sources. The primary area of focus in this role will be STATCOMs.

Over a 24-month period with 4 rotations, you will be assigned to different Engineering departments or functions, taking on challenging yet very fulfilling design tasks. The rotation is based on the consolidated review of the business’ needs, your technical background, as well as your personal aspirations. The global footprint of our business also provides possibilities for international exposures.
