About the Role

The Grounds Officer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the College’s outdoor areas to ensure a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves the upkeep of lawns, gardens, sporting fields, and general outdoor infrastructure, as well as supporting minor maintenance tasks and event setup as required.

This is a full‑time, ongoing position and a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a highly productive and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Maintain and improve the presentation of school grounds, including seasonal planting and turf care.
Prepare and maintain sports fields, courts, and ovals, including line marking and surface care.
Conduct minor repairs to fences, gates, pathways, and outdoor fixtures.
Conduct routine checks and servicing of tools and machinery to ensure safe operation.
Maintain records of grounds maintenance schedules and completed tasks.

Skills and Experiences:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Proven experience in an operational hands-on facilities or maintenance role.
Prior experience using building management software.
Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritising tasks accordingly.
