About the Role
J.A. Boland Group is a leading motor retail group operating across five dealership locations and representing a number of leading automotive brands.
As part of the continued development of our Group Finance function, we are centralising a number of routine finance and administration activities across the Group. We are now looking for an organised, Group Finance Administrator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be based at one of our dealership locations but will provide administrative and transactional finance support across multiple dealerships within the Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, is highly organised and wants to develop their experience within a professional finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Administration
- Processing and maintaining high volumes of financial and administrative transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Processing purchase invoices, credits, expenses and other finance documentation.
- Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Supporting the processing and reconciliation of bank, cash and other financial transactions.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring supporting documentation is complete.
- Assisting with month-end finance processes and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Preparing routine reports, schedules and reconciliations for the Finance Team.
- Following up outstanding information from dealerships, suppliers and internal departments.
Group Support
- Providing centralised administration support to multiple dealerships across the Group.
- Working closely with the qualified accountants within the Group Finance Team.
- Supporting the Finance Team during staff holidays, busy periods and month-end.
- Ensuring consistent processes and standards are followed across all locations.
- Liaising with dealership management and staff to resolve finance and administration queries.
- Helping identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce duplication and increase efficiency.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of transactions and information.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other IT systems.
- Numerate and comfortable working with financial information.
- Able to work independently while also being an effective team player.
- Comfortable dealing with multiple departments and locations.
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and confident when communicating with colleagues, suppliers and management.
- Willing to learn and develop within a growing Group Finance function.
- Positive attitude essential
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administration role is desirable.
- Experience within the motor industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are desirable.
- Accounting qualification or part-qualification is not essential; this role is primarily focused on administration and transactional finance support.

The Opportunity

We are moving towards a more centralised and standardised finance operation, allowing our qualified accountants to focus on higher-value financial analysis, reporting and commercial support while ensuring routine administration is handled efficiently and consistently across the Group.
