Care Options Support Services is a company that provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas. We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care and support to individuals with I/DD.

Job Description:

Care Options Support Services is seeking individuals who are passionate about working with individuals with developmental disabilities and have the desire to make a positive impact in their community. The Direct Support Professional will provide direct care and support to individuals with I/DD in their homes, community settings, and/or school settings.

Duties include:

• Provide support with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, hygiene, eating, personal safety, etc.)
• Assist clients with activities of daily living until they are able to receive independent living
• Maintain a safe environment for clients by assisting them in taking prescribed medications, checking on them, and responding to calls from clients if needed
• Actively assist clients by assisting them in the day-to-day living tasks until they are capable of receiving independent living
• Record daily logs for each client to document positive outcomes of services provided
• Monitor clients’ progress to determine appropriate services provided and document services provided accordingly
• Provide emotional support as needed
• Communicate with team members regularly to collaborate on client services and goals
• Other duties as assigned
