Care Options Support Services is a company that provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas. We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care and support to individuals with I/DD.

Job Description:

Care Options Support Services is seeking individuals who are passionate about working with individuals with developmental disabilities and have the desire to make a positive impact in their community. The Direct Support Professional will provide direct care and support to individuals with I/DD in their homes, community settings, and/or school settings.

Duties include:

Provide support with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, hygiene, eating, personal safety, etc.)
Assist clients with activities of daily living until they are able to receive independent living
Maintain a safe environment for clients by assisting them in taking prescribed medications, checking on them, and responding to calls from clients if needed
Actively assist clients by assisting them in the day-to-day living tasks until they are capable of receiving independent living
Record daily logs for each client to document positive outcomes of services provided
Monitor clients’ progress to determine appropriate services provided and document services provided accordingly
Provide emotional support as needed
Communicate with team members regularly to collaborate on client services and goals
Other duties as assigned
